In an effort to enhance the talent selection and incentive mechanisms, the Group's Ironmaking Technology Center recently held a unified examination for blast furnace foremen at its overseas bases. The exam was designed not only to ignite employees' enthusiasm for learning but also to refine the talent incentive system, ensuring that staff members are fully aligned with the Group's strategic goal of “charging ahead and sprinting.”

Blast furnace foremen play a pivotal role in ironmaking operations. As the direct organizers, commanders, and operators of the shift's blast furnace production process, they are responsible for managing production, safety, quality, and technical aspects. When accidents or malfunctions occur, foremen must act swiftly to organize repairs and minimize losses. They are like doctors on duty in a hospital, diagnosing problems and prescribing solutions. At critical moments, they cannot hesitate, as any delay could lead to more severe consequences. Therefore, improving the operational skills of blast furnace foremen is directly linked to enhancing production efficiency, reducing costs, and creating greater economic benefits for the Group.

Through this exam, the Group aims to achieve several objectives: First, to assess the foremen’s professional knowledge and operational capabilities to ensure they are proficient in the key skills of blast furnace operation. Second, to encourage foremen to continually improve and pursue excellence through competitive and motivational mechanisms. Lastly, by implementing these measures, the Group seeks to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement, thereby laying a solid talent foundation for its long-term development.

To ensure the fairness and authority of the exam, Vice President Li Gang personally oversaw the process. A special examination committee, composed of senior engineers and technical experts, was established to develop the test questions, supervise the examination, and grade the results. The exam covered a wide range of topics, including blast furnace operation theory, emergency handling of accidents, and safety production regulations, aiming to thoroughly assess the foremen’s professional knowledge and practical operational abilities.

The participants included blast furnace foremen from various production bases of the Group. Examination centers were set up at the training facilities of each base. To guarantee the smooth running of the exams, each testing site was equipped with at least two proctors, and surveillance equipment was used to record the entire process, ensuring fairness.

The results showed that Chen Peng, the Day Shift Foreman from Huaxi Base, achieved an outstanding score of 97.5 points, ranking third in the Group, while Dai Jing, the C-shift Foreman, scored 96.5 points, ranking fifth. This achievement not only highlights the significant progress made by the Huaxi Base foremen in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills but also reflects the effectiveness of the investment in talent development at Huaxi Base.

After the exam, Zhang Weibin, the Director of the Ironmaking Plant, presented certificates and bonuses to the two high-ranking foremen. He praised their outstanding performance and encouraged all employees to learn from their example, improve work efficiency, and strengthen team cohesion. Director Zhang emphasized that each employee's efforts are a valuable asset to the company, and the achievements of outstanding individuals serve as a powerful driving force for the entire team. He hopes that this recognition will inspire greater enthusiasm among employees and motivate them to collectively strive toward creating a "green, high-quality, and trustworthy" image for Jingye Group.
